Allgoodsounds website launched

Many years in the making - myself and Paul Dodd have formed production duo Allgood sounds. The years spent learning to be professional sound engineers and composers are paying off. The site showcases a selection of up tempo and ambient Electronica. We love playing and producing. Starting with electronic music because of its punch and sparkle, we're set to release some songs later this year. Watch this space and hope you enjoy.

Taken in by Kingswear Gallery, Leeds

This latest painting, 'Colour Edifice' constructs its composition from two overlayed works. An old triptych from over 10 years ago never quite came off, so it was taken and adapted by experimenting with colour and form. It pays homage to the Constructivist movement that was born in Russia in the 1920's, using architectural forms to create space and comment on the spiritual and social. It represents the large, complex systems and organisations that shape our thoughts, personalities and beliefs. The abstract profile far right of the composition echoes the human facade, or face, with the abstract social and architectural forms being visible almost as a cross section of the human head or personality. To convey that our thoughts are shaped by governments and countries over time, the composition also mimics a satellite view of land. Far right is the coastline and ocean to the central patchwork of abstract counties and conurbations. The colour palette used is intended to echo politics and gender, with the red, blue and yellow of uk parties and the feminine, masculine and neutral respectively. I've included the original working drawings to show some of how the work developed.

The original oil painting is currently on loan, being exhibited at the Kingswear Gallery, Leeds.
